George Arutyunyants

Not shy of complex math (or a good bread recipe), George's deep understanding of analytics translates to meaningful results for a broad spectrum of retail and consumer goods companies.

George has over 15 years of experience in retail analytics consulting, including forecasting, clustering, and price optimization. The first four years of his consulting career, he was an analytical consultant for SAS's Retail and CPG practice, where he built a forecasting solution using dynamic aggregation for a large CPG company and trained clients on selecting, optimizing, and tuning statistical models. After joining Prognos and then Antuit Inc., George led the company's research and development team for over 10 years. During that time he led development of offerings in demand forecasting, price optimization, and test & learn; architected and built a forecasting solution that was implemented at many top CPG and retail companies; and led a team that built a sophisticated demand analytics platform. His experience also includes training a team of statistical analysts engaged in data mining, predictive modeling, and other statistical analyses, as well as providing technical and analytical support for existing clients. George holds PhD in Mathematics from the University of Missouri. He and his family live in Chicago, where he enjoys biking, reading, and baking artisan breads.
